Daiquiri 

The original daiquiri was a mixture of rum, lime, and sugar, served over ice. Yet another product of late-19th-century imperialism, the daiquiri was first recorded in a Cuban mining town of the same name.

Ingredients

• 1 1/2 oz Light Rum - Bacardi/Cruzan
• 1 oz Lime Juice
• 1 teaspoon Simple Syrup or Superfine Sugar

Preparation

1. Shake all ingredients with ice
2. Strain into a cocktail glass, and serve

* For a frozen daiquiri, combine all ingredients with ice in a blender. Blend well at high speed.
